Apparently paypal has got the "holding funds sh*ts".  They seem to be delighting in the fact that they can just do it anytime to anyone.....no matter if the person has done anything to warrant it or not.  Customer service will not help you.  You won't get any help here either.  The best you are going to get are canned responses stating the policy over and over and over.    Also, you will get the usual:  If you don't like it, then go somewhere else.  That seems to the two standard responses.  No real help.  No real answers.  ... How wonderful for you, luvstampin, that you enjoy this policy and like having your money held up.    Whether or not any of us stay or go elsewhere doesn't matter.  Your attitude is one of the things that is wrong with paypal.  Basically it's:  This is the way it it is so if you don't like it then FU.  Never mind attempting to work things out with people individually because we just don't give a ####.    THAT is what I am seeing from paypal and all those who seem to be in love with them.  Even with all that said, I'm still going to stay with ebay/paypal.  I know that this hold will pass and things will get back to normal.   It's just ridiculous that paypal isn't a better help when you ask for it.  Customer service needs a serious makeover.  ... Well, no....I know it wasn't personal as they don't know me from Adam.  What I don't understand is HOW do I prove I am not a scammer?  Let me rephrase that....How LONG do I have prove I am not a scammer for this unwarranted hold to be removed?  I was on the phone with paypal customer service for nearly 2 hours and could not get a real answer from them.  All they could do was monotonously repeat the policy over and over and over.  All I wanted to know was WHEN will the hold be removed.  I just found it very sad that not only could they not figure out or pinpoint a reason why the hold was there....but they seemed to be completely baffled at their own system and had no idea how long the hold would remain.  I even spoke to the customer service supervisor and it like speaking to a clone of the original person I talked to.  I WANT to have faith in paypal and I would like to continue with Ebay/Paypal, but it's been an extremely frustrating and disheartening couple of weeks.  ... I can't speak for anybody else who has had a temporary hold on funds placed on their account.....but it really angered and upset me when it happened.  It wasn't because I didn't know that it was possible.  I knew that it "could" happen.  What upset me was the fact that there was no LEGITIMATE reason for the hold to be placed on my account.  I would have completely understood if I had done something wrong to warrant the hold....but I haven't.  I have been a seller on Ebay for over six years.  I have one hundred percent positive feedback.  My feedback number is near one thousand.  My DSR ratings are all four point nines and five point zeros.    I have not had any disputes opened against me...ever.  I have been selling vintage costume jewelry and small collectibles during the entire 6 years and haven't swayed from those categories.  I have spent six years building my reputation as a legitimate, honest, and reliable seller.  Why was I targeted?  The hold has been applied to ALL incoming funds.  What does a seller have to do to prove they are not ripping people off or trying to do something shady when all along for YEARS they have ALREADY proved that????  It just doesn't make sense.    You know, there ARE situations where paypal makes some really bonehead decisions.     ... Some people who currently have holds on their account are saying that they can't print shipping labels....that the money won't come out of the funds being held.  It might be true.  However, I am currently in the situation with having a temporary hold on all incoming funds.  I already had money in my paypal account that wasn't affected by the hold when I printed the shipping labels and THAT balance was affected when I purchased the shipping labels (the available balance went down minus the cost of the shipping labels)....but the available balance went back to normal within a few minutes.  What happened is that the pending funds remained on hold, but paypal released the amount paid for shipping labels after I purchased them with the money I already had that wasn't affected by the hold.   Of course, even though paypal released the amount for the shipping, the hold on the rest of the funds was immediately replaced until the buyer left me feedback.   Bottom line:  It appears that you need to already have available funds to purchase shipping labels and then the price of the labels will be released to you immediately afterwards. ... They will get released the moment they leave you feedback. I am currently in the same boat you are.  I had to beg the last 3 buyers to leave feedback to get my money.    I emailed them each 4 days in a row (after delivery confirmation showed they all have been delivered) begging them to leave feedback.....that paypal had mysteriously placed a hold on ALL of my incoming funds.  In fact, it is still a mystery to me why the hold was placed to begin with.  I have one hundred percent positive feedback and never have had an open dispute.....been selling for over 6 years in the same categories.   Anyway, it is competely humiliating to have to beg a buyer to leave feedback just so you can get your money.  As soon as they all left feedback....BOOM....the money was available.    So, if you have the good luck of prompt customers who leave feedback, you will be good to go.  Otherwise you have to beg or wait 3 weeks.   Either way it is a sickening and disgustingly frustrating situation.  Don't you just love it when you get punished for doing nothing wrong?    The biggest problem is that how long do you have prove that you are not ripping people off or trying to steal from them before paypal lifts the holds on ALL incoming funds?    It's just sad, especially when a seller has proven for YEARS that they are legitimate, honest, and reliable.....and then to get treated this way at paypal.   They should be ashamed of themselves.  The only thing I can think of as to why this sort of thing happens in a case like mine is that it serves PAYPAL in some way.  It certainly doesn't help me.  In fact, all it does is make me NOT want to sell. ... That is an outright lie PAYPALAMANDA.  ALL of my posts have been deleted.  When I clicked on "View My Posts"......it said there weren't any to show.  Guess you don't like it when people are unhappy with the crappy service and unfair things that paypal does to it's legitimate and honest customers.  Instead of deleting posts like mine, why don't you take them to the people in charge at paypal and maybe, JUST MAYBE, some of us who have had UNFAIR and UNJUSTIFIED  holds placed on our accounts can get them reversed.  Oh, I forgot, you people at Paypal just don't give a crap as long as you get YOUR money.......especially ALL THAT INTEREST that accumulates while you are holding our money.  Some of your customers aren't as dumb as you think.  ...
