PayPal-Chrome SSL Certificate Warning

Using Chrome to access any PayPal resource results in a warning message that the PayPal SSL Certificate will be distrusted in a Sept 2018 release of Chrome and at that point users will not be able to access PayPal using Chrome. I've seen this concern raised several times on this forum but have not seen a direct answer from PayPal (indicating they will upgrade their certs by before Chrome interrupts access). Although I am posting this through my personal account, I also support several websites where we use PayPal buttons for charitable donations.   I am aware that PayPal is in the process of upgrading their security protocols (by June 30 2018) and I have made sure my sites are compliant. That all said the sandbox website they provide to test browser compliance (https://www.sandbox.paypal.com/us/home) actually STILL generates the same Chrome warnings about distrusting by Sept 2018!    Could PayPal please provide some public statement acknowledging they are aware of the issue and provide a deadline for resolution?
