My letter to pay pal after 1 week and 3 calls and 5 representatives.
Dear Sir / Madame, Prior to April 17th 2018 I decided to change the email address I use on paypal from r**********1@googlemail.com to r**********t@live.com. On the 17th April I made three sales on Ebay tottalling £47.07p. I noticed however that the payments hadn't reached my account, I spoke to my three customers and they explained they had sent the money to r**********1.com. I subsequently called paypal on the same day at 15:25pm and spoke to a gentleman called Chris who changed my email address on paypal back to what it originally was. He reassured me that the payments would now go through soon. I arrived home from work and saw the payments hadn't arrived. I called Paypal a second time at 7pm and spoke to a girl called Princess who said she could see the three payments and that she would escalate the issue to the relevant colleagues within PayPal she also said she would personally contact my three customers to let them know of the problem. I waited 5 days for a resolution to this problem and on the 22nd of April at 9:00am I called customer services at PayPal for a third time and spoke to a girl called coleen who said much the same as the previous girl. I asked if she could put me through to a supervisor and she did. I spoke to supervisor Mark abut the situation who explained there was a bug but he could see on his end that the bug would be resolved soon, he said he would be back in touch later that day to confirm all was resolved. He also promised me compensation and asked for my personal number which I gave. No call came and no funds arrived. Today is the 23rd of April and I have now decided to start a paper trail of this incident for my own protection and send this message. It is now the 24th and have heard nothing back and am posting it in the paypal community should any legal matters arise. I cannot tell you how annoyed and frustrated this whole incident is for me and is making me very stressed and feeling sick. I cant understand why in 2018 when we now have many competitors using instant payments, contactless cards, digitization, cryptocurrencies etc Paypal are holding my money and not doing the reasonable thing by transferring it back to me as is my legal right. I feel I have been lied to throughout and left in the dark about this incident. I also worry that if I had not noticed the payments wether they would actally ever arrive as nobody seems to care but me. Please somebody help me. It's scandalous what's going on. My next step will be the financial ombudsman and the press.
