PayPal published a notice that the in store feature of its app in the United States will terminate after March 31, 2018. That means after today. I just came from the market where I attempted to use the app to pay for my purchase and the app no longer has the ability to select in store payment. Today is March 31, 2018. I am in the US, it is March 31, 2018 everywhere in the United States. Did somebody jump the gun? Sure looks like it. Other than my personal consternation at the check-out register, I had a host of angry customers behind me who were upset that I was holding up the line while the cashier and I tried to figure out the problem. We finally gave up and I walked out of the store with none of my purchase. Shut the thing down anytime you please, but if you say it will be after March 31, 2018, then by God do it when you say you will.
