I ordered a logo for a new website from EcustomLogo.net They go under several website names such as customlogoco.com, customlogo.net, GDD Logo Design, logosforce.com, sharplogodesign.com, and logosmate.com They have sent me several nasty emails calling me a thief and threatening legal and collection actions. They write to us the following. I am including only some of their communication: "Please ensure a claim is not filed, as billing is in a different department than us. They automatically send all disputes with your information that you provided to PayPal to collections within 48 hours of a dispute being opened and we do not want this to happen to you, as this is the worst possible thing that can happen to you and your credit score. As well we charge a $150 dispute fee to spend the time and resources to dispute fraudulent claims, which is deducted from your purchase and thus no refund can be issued if any dispute is ever opened. If not paid to them in full, every single time your credit is looked up for the next 7 years, your credit report will show all of these costs to every single credit agency that looks up your credit score." Another email: "We are absolutely shocked that you opened up a PayPal claim in an effort to 100% steal all of the money we have earned for the logo design service we have provided to you. It says to not open a dispute under any circumstance, and to email us and we will assist you before opening a dispute on the PayPal screen. You then disregarded this message entirely, opened a dispute and then a claim? We are absolutely shocked how you could do such a horrible thing to us. This claim needs to be closed immediately. We know you are not a thief that intends to steal the logo design service without paying for it and this is a huge mistake. 1. Logon to Your PayPal Account 2. Click the "Resolution Center" Tab 3. Click "View Open Cases." 4. Choose the "Close" option from the list of actions available beside the open dispute. Once closed, we will assist you in your logo design process. This was absolutely not how to handle this situation. We are extremely dismayed how you think this is acceptable to steal from us in such a manner." And yet another nasty email: "Mr XXXX is a thief. He is a criminal. He has stolen from us. There are consequences for being a thief. Most likely he has stolen from people all his life and is very familiar with this process. This is what thieves like him do. He will be receiving a collection letter in the mail within 2 to 3 weeks with all of that information. Please note the amount owed will be the cost of the logo design, the $50 chargeback fee, all collection fees and if not paid in full to AMS, then this will be reported by them to Experia, TransUnion and Equifax. This will then appear on his credit report for the next 7 years, as so future lenders will know never to lend to him again We will allow 24 hours for the claim to be closed and if not closed, we will tell our billing department to send us to collections with all applicable service fees. Being a thief has consequences, as Mr. XXXX will soon find out." My question is can they tell a paypal member that they are open to legal and collection action if they choose to use Paypal Buyer protection?
