I purchased a saxophone from Tomtop that was defective. I contacted them twice and they did not respond. So, since I paid with Paypal I sought assistance through Paypal. Tomtop used delaying tactics, requesting a video etc... I complied with all of their requests but they did not respond. I offered two was to resolved the issue... A full refund with them paying the shipping back to China or a discount in the purchase price so I can get the saxophone repaired. They did not respond so I escalated the dispute to Paypal and I just received an email from Paypal saying congratulations that my dispute has been resolved I just need to ship the saxophone back to China and my original price paid will be refunded. How is this a fair resolution? They shipped a defective item (my video demonstrates that) and I have to pay the return shipping... why? So, my question is do I have any other recourse? I can't find anywhere to "not accept" the offer and I can't find anywhere to actually contact someone from Paypal. Years ago when I had a problem like this, I was able to actually contact Paypal in person and they helped. Has that gone away completely and there really is no personalized service? I love Paypal but this situation has frustrated be a bit as the whole dispute process does not seem to be very user friendly.
