Not sure where I should put this, so I'm placing it here. I had no idea I even had a PayPal account until my mother in law tried to send me money. So, I contacted customer service to see if I could get a human being to help me. I think my customer service rep was named Jason. If there is a log to refer to who I spoke with, it's the only person I have interacted with at PayPal's customer service line. He was very rude, condescending, and it made me so mad, I thanked him for helping me up to that point and hung up. I would like to say I conduct myself in a polite and humble manner, but this service agent made me so furious, my cheeks are still red as I'm typing this 10 minutes after our conversation. In the future in dealing with PayPal, I would much rather stumble through the befuddling self help system that could take me longer than I need to for help. I interact with hundreds of humans everyday through my work and understand social and behavioral cues. This service agent needs a little finesse in his demeanor and interaction with customers. I get it, customers are a pain. But it's the job he signed up for. If he needed a break to shake off the last caller so he could assist the next one properly, he should have done so. If he's taking something out on me, or is just a plain jerk, I'm not afraid to never use PayPal ever again. I didn't even know I had one in the first place, so the PayPal service and its "perks" won't be missed.
