Hello, as a seller I am appalled by the recent PayPal decision to require a full refund on an iPad I sold on eBay around 2 months ago. The buyer claimed, 6 weeks after taking delivery, that it had a defective screen. 1) The iPad did not have a defective screen when it left my possession. It never, not once, displayed said fault. I always, without exception, mention any faults or issues to do with products I sell. This supposed fault was non-existent and that is why I did not mention it. I have an exemplary seller record and am totally honest about everything I sell. 2) The complaint was lodged *six weeks* after delivery of the iPad! It *must* have been damaged *after* it was delivered, assuming it even has any screen defect. It was posted totally securely. The buyer waited six weeks! 3) The advertisement, like all my advertisements, was crystal clear: **No warranties of any kind express or implied. No returns accepted.** These are explicit terms in the sale contract. So even if the iPad *did* have the defect, which it did *not* when I sold it, the sale terms - which go into all my eBay ads - are crystal clear. I was totally confident that PayPal would vindicate my response to the refund request, and yet they have decided the buyer should receive a full refund!! I cannot believe it. Are they even legally allowed to do this 6 weeks after sale, for a used item sold via auction? Can they put some kind of lien on my account? I am so disgusted I want to close my PayPal account right now *and* my eBay account, and not even *give* them access to any money. But I have no idea if that action by me would be legal. Can anyone help? I am so shocked by this decision - nearly £150 - cannot believe it. But I have no idea whether I can legally just walk away. I have lodged a formal complaint with PayPal but what if they issue the refund before they respond to the complaint? Any help greatly appreciated, David
