Paypal invests your money in money markets and the minuim time required to earn any dividends on this money is 21 days . It might not seeem like a lot of interest but you must consider for every 21 day period starting everyday they invest unknown quanitities of money 10 million , 20 million who knows . one thing for sure it makes them more millions . And i know i am going to get responses of how wrong I am and that this is not true . But it is and I have actually read a response to a post by an paypal employyee stating that yes they do invest that money for the 21 day period . They might try to rationalize the need of with holding it with words like industry standard , or buyers sellers protection . Sure maybe that is what the policy is written but the truth is they are also investing "using " your money for 21 days . I would of liked to have known that before they did that with my money so I am just trying to spread the knowledge to others because i feel like it should be and is a bit unusual they choose to do it and not tell us .
