6 months no interest promotion

So, I have a question.  For instance, if I was to make a purchase for the sum of $500.00, on this promotion of 6 months, zero interest if paid in full within the 6 months time frame, and I failed to pay it IN FULL a portion of the amount, say, .....  I had a $100.00 left over, owing after 6 months.    My question is, am I charged interest, from the origination date, on the full amount of $500.00, OR am I charged interest on ONLY the remaining $100.00, left over, and due AFTER the 6 months promotion period!  Please respond!~  No one wants to answer this question, as I have been asking it several times now!  Why won't Paypal answer this question. ... Paypal promotes a no payment, no interest on purchases over $99.00 for 6 months if paid in full by the 6 month due date.  They specify that interest will be added if not paid in full within that time frame.  My question is for example, if I charge $400.00 under this plan, and only pay back $300.00 by the 6 month due date, am I charged interest on the whole $400.00 from the date of posting, OR am I only charged interest on the remaining balace of $100.00 that was not paid during the 6 month grace period.  This answer seems "conspicuously missing" from the explanation of this 6 month option? ...
