I am at my wit's end with Payapl. My 14 year old son, unbeknown to me, had set up a Paypal account (yes, I realise he is not old enough to have one). A month ago he bought some tracksuit bottoms from the US (we are in the UK). He paid almost as much for the P&P as the goods (yes, I am furious with him). The goods never arrived. We emailed the seller the day after the transaction asking them to cancel. We heard nothing. We emailed them last week telling them the goods haven't arrived, and asking them to refund us. We heard nothing. I have emailed PayPal from within his account explaining the situation, and explaining that he is just 14 years old. Now they have put his account on hold. We need to provide bank account information and confirm his identity. I cannot do this because he is 14 years old. I am unable to open a case with them about this particular issue; it says one has already been opened (in his infinite wisdom he thought he was "helping" to get a refund by clicking on the "request a returns note" button, which makes it look like the product has arrived. It has not). What else can I do? I am not prepared to let this drop (value of goods including P&P is 75 USD). But PayPal are being utterly unhelpful. Any ideas? Thank you for any advice.
