Serious case - no item returned but refund given

Hi, I have a serious case of abuse of the system to report regarding Case ID: PP-006-292-838-912   I sold the following item to the buyer on eBay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mackie-Control-Universal-DAW-control-surface-with-2-extender-units-/272863733442?nma=true&si=vmbvhCBsBxzWsatfHJNk5b4CKl0%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557   The item was picked up on 28th October 2017 after clearing the funds through PayPal.   The buyer then decided to open a case for the item not working correctly. For the record I strongly refute the claims that the item was not as described, all faults and condition were covered in the listing which can still be seen. Despite this I rose above it as a conscientious seller and offered a full refund on the basis that the items would be returned to me.   In theory this would all be fine. However the delivery came this morning and instead of 3 expensive mixing disks I got a singular small parcel containing an empty box, I have taken multiple pictures including the tracking information and can provide this as evidence. Now I'm a fairly laid back guy and can see the funny side, however I'm sure you'll agree that this really is taking the mick! As PayPal had already returned the money to the buyer despite the item not being delivered, I now have neither the money nor the items. The buyer has both.   The proof is there for all to see - the delivery sent is a 'small parcel' with a weight of 0.013kg (13 grams!) and a special delivery sticker showing a total package weight of 0.065kg (65 grams!). Now I am sure you will agree it is physically impossible to send over 10kg of large desks, shown in the pictures on the eBay post, as a 65g small parcel. I'll say it again, the empty box trick is kinda funny, but less funny when £400 is at stake.   In addition to all this I have been as helpful and polite through this whole process with the buyer as possible and feel quite frankly abused. I have communcated clearly throughout, offered the refund, provided all required dispute information to PayPal, and yet I am the one who loses out.   If anyone has any ideas at all what to do, help would be so much appreciated.   One very frustrated seller, TG ... Hi,   I am trying to respond to an eBay buyers claim through PayPal by offering a partial refund.   I go through the steps in PayPal - Resolution Centre -> Respond to open claim -> type in offer amount -> click 'calculate refund' -> choose return address -> submit   I have tried this about 5 times now across a 24 hour period and using two different browsers. Every single time I try I get this message:   "Sorry, an error occurred after you clicked the last link   If you were in the process of buying something, or sending money to family or friends, we recommend you check both your PayPal account and your email inbox for a transaction confirmation after 30 minutes. If you came to this page from another website, you may want to return to that site (we advise that you don't just use your browser's back button) and restart your activity. If you stumbled upon this page from the PayPal website, simply click the PayPal logo in the top left corner to return to the UK home page and restart your activity. You might have to log in again. If you wish to sign up to PayPal, please click the PayPal logo and then click the “Sign up” button."     I need this to work otherwise the 10 day response time will end and I will have no opportunity to respond to the dispute 😞   Please help!!  ...
