I have an ad on craigslist about a phone I want to sell, I have a person who wants to pay me a bit more money through PayPal because they claim they cannot meet up to exchange money. I charge 700 but they will pay me 800. will they be able to file a claim against me for not sending a package/or them not receiving it, and without any proof of it coming, they will get the money they paid me back? they want to pay me and then take it back through a claim... is that possible they could do that? if so, is there a way to protect me against this type of scam behavior. the buyer contacted me 2 times through text and both have same "cant meet up, will pay 800 for everything through PayPal" texts. literally the same, copied and pasted. I know this is a scam, and I have text proof that they texted me with both conversations screenshotted for my proof that they are sketching, but I don't know if PayPal will protect me in any way against their fake claim, if they do decide to take my phone and the money they paid me...
