I have had this before.. it is rare for me.. usually get a text within a few seconds. .. in fact I just had it happen on trying to pay for an eBay item. I did Google it first but then remembered I had re-booted my phone the last time so I tried it again and after it restarted - Voila.! I had five texts come through instantly from PayPal (from the failed retries) I chose the last text and entered the code and purchase went through.

I have already looked at my paypal account, asked Paypal to verify that there is no other payment method other than my own. However.. today on ordering something from eBay, using the tablet, i noticed by default a credit card on the list. when i revealed the detail of the option there was my friends address and his credit card details! I remember know ordering something on his behalf but using his credit card details and address so it went to him. Now this option has stayed on my PayPal paying options but only there. It does not appear on my PayPal account, when i log in to it, as an authorised payment option. I understand why it is happening now but I really don't want those detail or the option on there anymore, obviously. How do i get rid of it? Half of the problem is identified now.. it is just embarassing knowing someone elses details are there.. just for a one off purchase.

yes I know.. it's weird! A personal friend just signed up for a paypal account and he said it already had 3 entries two within the last month but one from August!! He called me as he recognised the type of purchases i might make and asked me in a friendly tone. Was i an 'ebay scammer'. Sure enough three items were my low value purchases. One purchase off eBay i bought last night popped up on his 'new' account an hour later.. I spoke to Paypal an hour or so ago and asked how purchases made by me with my account (I get the texted code for extra security) could possibly be taken from someone else. Pay Pal confirmed i only have my personal bank account and visa card for payments. I get emails from paypal saying 'I' have paid and the ebay site shows me i have paid. Paypal asked my friend to call them and he will.. but, in my mind, it is nothing to do with him really (apart from him potentialy losing money.. ps I have credited him back) I'm concerned that this is going ot continue to happen. I'm lost about this problem. Help
