I have an open refund request from a guy I sold a knife to. The knife arrived with a small bend on the tip. As the knife has a lifetime unconditional warranty even if you are not the original buyer, Isuggested to the buyer that I pay both ways back to bark river for warranty repairs. He originnaly agreed, but after a while he decided he no longer wanted the knife and instead wanted a refund. I fully insured the knife but only in case it was lost because any issues would be fixed with the warranty. I suggested that at lease we should report it to USPS and fie a claim...no go...still wants refund. I feel that I stated my claim very well to Paypal and that they should rule on my side. His entire statement was that Item was not as advertised..arrived damages. Nothing else. My question is this: IF Paypal should rule in his favor and I have to refund his money, will he be required to send back my knife? As a sidenote...his original offer to settle was for him to keep the knife and I would refund him $180, half of the original sale price....and then he could get it fixed for free under warranty....DOH!
