We run an incorporated society with charitable status. We use Paypal to receive our member’s subscription fees. In April this year, Paypal restricted access to our account without notification. Paypal then requested that we supply a number of documents to them, which we did promptly. Five months has now passed and our Paypal account is still restricted. We are unable to receive our member’s subscription fees or access funds held by Paypal. When we log into our account, a notification reads, “We [Paypal] need more information to resolve a problem with your account” and directs us to our account’s resolution centre webpage. The Problem is the resolution centre page clearly states no action is required by us and Paypal is no longer reviewing anything to do with our account. We have tried to get an explanation for why we receive this conflicting message and cannot use our Paypal account but Paypal will not return our emails and their phone representatives never call us back. Can someone please advise what is the best course of action?
