As a seller for seventeen year I thought I was better protected by these two companies that I have basicly worked for over the years. Ya... Surprised to find out that the buyer is the only one protected... and if that buyer is a scammer they know how to work eBays 100% return policy to there gain.. Hence my story: A Sellers Nightmare. Sold to highest bidder a mixed lot of sterling jewelry. Buyer delayed payment for seven days saying he wanted to bid on another auction... I asked him to pay (more then once) then I would hold it for him until he told me to ship. He did pay. Long story is he didn't win anyother of my auctions and I did hold his auction until I heard from him a few days later. After that I mailed the items from the auction... He disputed the items won, wrong weight, type of jewelry etc. and wanted me to refund 70% of the dollar amount! I told him to send it all back and I would gladly refund his money and then check my scales weight & pull any non-silver items out and relist it. Well he sent back 30 grams some of which were sterling pulled off a charm bracelet that was in my auction, this amount was out of 311 grams total... He matched the weight with a bag of pennies and I could do nothing about this... He scammed the Money, Jewelry and I have no recourse! Who is looking after the sellers? Online 100% return policy is legal B&E for theives.. Thank you for letting me vent... Beaware!!!! you can't even leave negative feedback. Sad Day & I maybe done with selling.
