Hi Jason   Unfortunatley exact same error with your link, but you are sayuing this is a bog standard message due to programers being to lazy to write more specific error messages. This gives me hope the listed reasons you give (which may not be exaustive) cover some scope, one thing comes to mind.   I ordered an item over a month ago and it was due to be delivered last Tuesday but has still not turned up so in Ebay I reported the item as having not been delivered, but that I still wanted the item if possible, could this be the cause of the problem as there is still the possibility I could claim back the money from that transaction if it never materializes?   Alex ... Hi Sumiko   Thanks for your reply, I have removed all bank accounts and cards, but want to use new ones for my UK account anyway. Please try again later.   How much later been trying several times a day for weeks, whats the score is it something specific to me in which case make the error more meaningful if it is a major issue warn people about it and give an estimated time for it being fixed.   This sort of thing and the fact I have to close my account and open a new one rather than just dropping down a list and chosing my new country of recidence makes me feel that the site was probably designed either as a primary school project, or by the cheapest bidder, as it is obviously not even close to fit for purpose.     ... I am not 100% sure but I belive I had to close both ebay and Paypal in Spain to open new accounts so I couls add Spanish details, but when I moved to France I do not remember doing so again, and I have now updated EBAY to be UK, but paypal I can only find answers such as delete the account and open a new one, I tryed that however and it always says BEFORE YOU GO.... There has been an unexpected error please try again later, so far searching the comunity and even emailing PayPal support 9Who after a week have still not responded) has resulted in even an explination as to why I get the error, so either I open a new email account and paypal for the UK then link it to ebay or I can no longer use either. ... I get the same error I have to close the account because paypal were to thick to concieve of the fact people dont all stay in the same country their whole lives, so rather than just change country you have to close your account and open a new one. ... View more

Language please

Hi   I am from the UK then moved to Spain, now live in France but moving back to the UK, complex I know, but the issue should be simple to solve but for life of me I can not find the settting that obviously must be therre it would be stupid if it is not.   Since my time in Spain all notifications for Paypal and Ebay changed to Spanish, both ones I recieve and ones sent from me. This was annoying at the time but after weeks of trying to sory=t it I gave up, I have lived in France for 2,5 years now and in all that time PP and Ebay have not felt enclined to switch to French or back to English, so with my upcomming return to the UK I have to assume it will still remain in Spanish.   How do I chose the language I wan notifications sent in? See simple know there has to be a drop down menu somewhere to select this, but it is well hidden.   Thanks ... View more
