@kernowlass   Yeh, what you said is,   "If you win the case and the seller has not refunded you then Paypal refund you under their buyer protection policy."   It was the "If you win the case" which confused me, because how can I win a case if both sides of the argument cannot be considered. However, if the seller not responding wins me the case by default, then it's all OK... ... View more

@kernowlass sorry for the confusion, but my question was 'what happens if the Seller does not respond after 10 days' (because it's been 8 days so far and they haven't responded yet). But I guess what you're telling me is that if they don't respond then Paypal will just give me my money back? ... View more

This still doesn't answer my question but I thank you for taking the time to comment. Perhaps someone else can share their experience of what happens if a seller doesn't respond in the given time...   Also, I think I read somewhere that I am absolutely NOT ALLOWED to contact the seller while this investigation is happening. I wonder if they know this, because on Monday of this week they sent me an e-mail requesting feedback on my purchase (which was made around 6 weeks ago!) I have not responded. ... View more

I can't seem to find or get the answer to this from the website. Can anyone tell me the protocol? I have raised a claim against a seller who has not sent me the product. The status on the claim still says Awaiting Response. For how long can the seller ignore this, without Paypal doing anything to get my money back? ... View more

Same here. I called Paypal the other day, they said wait until after the 7th working day. Today is the 10th working day, and the money still isn't there. I just called Paypal again, and the girl on the other end quite routinely said 'we'll trace this money for you and put it in your bank account', with almost worrying reassurance: does this kind of thing happen so often that their operatives are not surprised when it does happen? Who's set to gain my money if I don't call Paypal to question it. What if I'd forgotten about it or hadn't noticed it hadn't gone in? Isn't it quite an inconvenience that I must contact them to resolve? And I feel for you, not getting a response to an e-mail - having to make that phone call is an extra inconvenience!   Good luck! ... View more

I made a payment for a service a month ago. I paid through Paypal, linked to my debit card, and the debit appeared on my bank statement. I was unhappy with the service and asked for a refund. The refund has been processed, but it's showing on my Paypal statement that this credit has simply cancelled out the debit from my Paypal balance. I have a Paypal balance of zero, and - after 6 days (including 5 working days) - the money has not been credited on my bank statement.   Where has it gone?? ... View more
