This is insane. Has anyone ever gotten NSF fees reversed? I added a credit card to my Paypal account months ago because when I had my first NSF fee (for winning an Ebay auction while my balance from Ebay sales was pending longer than it was supposed to) Paypal customer service told me that having a credit card on my account would keep my bank account from being charged. So I added my credit card. I find out yesterday that I have been hit with FIVE NSF fees of 45$ for charges to my bank account over a three day period, because Paypal customer support had disabled my credit card as my default payment method (for reasons I am still unsure of). I am a student living on student loans and now I am without rent money and it's the end of the month. I sell things on Ebay to make ends meet so I can put food in my mouth and this is what Paypal does to me? In desperation I phoned customer support this morning because my branch is closed on weekends, am transferred to a 'Transaction Specialist' who issues me a letter that does not describe my situation at all to give to my bank and tells me to cross my fingers that they reverse the NSF charges, and that if my bank does not reverse them (based on this letter that both blames me for this and neglects to include all five of the transactions) Paypal would issue me a credit to cover the fees I was charged. Am I supposd to believe this? Why would Paypal credit 225$ in charges when they can't even provide me a letter explaining what actually happened to my account directly to my bank? The letter makes it seem like I mistakenly used my bank account five times, when I've spent about six hours on the phone with Paypal and my bank in the past to ensure this exact thing would never happen again . Paypal, please fix this or let it be known this company has no ethics whatsoever. You are jeopardizing my school semester for mistakes your system and your support team have caused me, and I am being penalized for trusting you and using your payment platform to try to get by. For shame!
