I recently sold a coat on gumtree for £49 + £10 postage and buyer paid paypal . I posted it but later got a contact saying the coat was not as described , holes in it and mouldy and smelly , damaged seams and more , they demanded a full refund which i said to return the item . They then said they had paid to have it cleaned so would be out of pocket if returned but would keep the item . Several mails later after an official paypal dispute agreed a 50% refund of £24.50 for coat minus post . Refund was made and ive since found the buyer now selling my exact same jacket for £185 on gumtree in excellent condition , no holes or smells or anything , says they have owned it two years whe actually only 1 week, they say it is perfect condition . They say they haven`t another jacket and only one they have had . Is it too late to report this fraud to Paypal and get my refund back ??, can p.p stop this user doing it again claiming refunds for goods that are not faulty .
