I recently sold a high dollar piece of electronics on ebay. The payment came through and cleared PayPal so I shipped the item as it told me it was complete and ready to be shipped. This morning (2 days after I shipped) I get a email from PayPal putting the funds in my account on hold, which I have already withdrawn so my account is now -$1150. The email stated: "You have received a payment that we believe may not have been authorized by the PayPal account holder. Here are the details of the transaction we are investigating:" And then continued with the specifics of the sale. The item is set to be delivered tomorrow so I may be able to get it returned to sender but I can't find any info on what this really means so I don't want to make things worse and PayPal has no customer service available today. Does this mean the buyer is disputing the transaction and I should try and get it returned? Is PayPal gonna stiff me my $1150? Am I getting completely **bleep** here, or is this just something that happeneds because my be the buyer is new or the purchase is out of character? Do I report the seller on ebay? I can't find anything with this email except how to upload my shipping info which I did. I don't want to be out my item and my money, what can I do?
