Hi all, I'm wondering if anyone can help me with this conundrum. I've done a lot of searching and asking at banks but not sure if this is possible unless I go the whole way and try it myself. I am British and have a UK paypal account but I earn in USD and I keep my earnings in USD in my Paypal account. I would like to find a way to avoid Paypal's currency conversion fees by keeping my money in USD but also transferring it to a Currency Account in a UK bank like HSBC so that I can then upload money to my Revolut currency card in USD (Revolut is able to hold USD and I can tranfer to Revolut using a bank transfer requiring Swift/BIC and IBAN). I travel often and at the moment USD is a lot better abroad then the GBP. I don't want to lose money 1) from converting USD to GBP to USD again or another currency and 2) from the poor rates that the GBP is getting versus other currencies now. In short, is this possible? Has anyone done this or something similar? What would stop me from being able to do this? Many thanks in advance.
