Hi all, read this one.. I sold a phone on EBAY, perfect condition and sent it to the buyer, immediately the buyer sent photos of the a phone resembling mine, with huge scratches on the screen and damage all over claiming he wanted immediate refund. Thanks to the very clever buyer protection policies, EBAY and Paypal did not do anything so the outcome of the case was Money on standby, item was supposed to be posted back to me and then money released. Having no choice I just sit and wait, after a few days i noticed that the case was closed, no comms whatsoever and money returned to the buyer but I never got the phone back, so I call Paypal support and I get told that apparently Royal mail attempted to deliver but failed and sent the item back immediately to the buyer, which is impossible as they wait at least two weeks, so they advised to call Royal mail and that they would have opened an appeal; obviously now aware I was probably being scammed, I asked the tracking number and called Royal mail. Not suprisingly they told me a different story, they adddress on the package was incomplete (obviously purposedly) so they could NOT deliver and sent it immediately back to the sender/Buyer. I later called the Paypal support saying what i was told but got told that case was closed by headoffice and nothing I could do, so i tried to open an appeal on the case which again was closed few hours later with no comms. Recap is: Lost an item as good as new, lost the full price of the item and the scammer that performed the trick now enjoys the phone AND did not pay for it even though we have his address etc. Are we kidding here? this is borderline against the costitution and human rights, its absolutely ridicolous! Really makes me want to go and get the guy myself in the dump where he lives but who does that? and hes 2000km away..now I presented the case to my lawyer and waiting to know if we have the basis to sue Paypal and believe me, if we do I will get back as money, all the stress and frustration that this abuse is causing me. Way to go PayPal, way to go. Shame on you. Lucio
