I also got this mail.  There's nothing obviously bad about the mail itself (no malicious code that I can see), but there's no way to verify its authenticity.   The reasonable thing to for a user to do is to log into the site (not using any link provided in the mail), where one would expect to find a banner, popup, or other site notice (at least on the student account pages) mirroring what was sent in the email.  No such notice-- on www.paypal.com it seems to be all business as usual, which means the email could easily be a forgery.  I can see this going either way:   * "Yes, we terminated our relationship with the bank servicing our Student Debit MasterCard product.  We have not yet updated the web site indicating this.  We're sorry for the inconvenience, short notice, and poor communication."   * "No, we have no plans to terminate that program at this time; any mail you received was fraudulent."     ...
