Hi, thank you for all your answers. Today I spoke with Paypal support and they explained me that the simply decided to make EUR a primary currency for all accounts from Bulgaria and Romania. Even if the money are sent in USD they convert them into EUR before they get to your account.   The weird thing is that neither in Romania nor in Bulgaria EUR is used. We have our national currencies. So this is another dirty way for paypal to make money from the conversation rates. So with the same logic(if there is any) they can decide to convert the money we recieve into Afghan Afghani (official currency in Afghanistan) and then we can convert them in whatever currency we want.   I am going to simply stop using paypal. hi, thank you for your anwer.I opened my Paypal account 6 or 7 years ago and I pointed Bulgaria as resident country.I am bulgarian. During all these 6 years I got the money in USD. I moved to serbia a month ago but I am going to stay here just for a couple months.I havent opened new paypal account because I am withdrawing the money to my bulgarian bank account, plus I go back to bulgaria almost evry week. The issue with the curencies started after I went back to Bulgaria a couple weeks ago. As I mentioned above neithet Bulgaria nor Seebia are using EURs. Do you think that my moving to another country might cause this issue? And where is the point of papal converting the money I recieve? Thank you very much for your answer. ... View more

Hi lancelotme, I lived in Bulgaria but I moved to Serbia. Both countries are in Europe but non of them use Euros. For years I recieved and accepted money in USD and a month ago that changed.
