That is INCORRECT. if you're saying you have a "new" and "old" account then yes there are 2 seperate everything and you should be checking to see that you don't have to request a seperate card or whatt have you, but if you're saying that you had your employer fill out a direct deposit form before the card with your name on it (assuming you just picked the old one up at the store and have since activated a new one butu the slip said the old card info) then it should be that your card is your account number at least as of now, however you have a seperate bank id number that should house both card numbers seeing as these cards are just netspend cards being used to load funds onto your paypal account, and if you have a personal account transferring the funds isnt automatic, you can instantly transfer after manually initiating one. for a business account, the funds are already on the card. if i went to cvs to load CASH onto my paypal account, what is actually happening at the register when you hand over your QR code is this (and why you have to pay a fee $3.95 in my case) is that a NETspend prepaid debit card is being activated in your name and being used to add money to your paypal without use of your 3rd party bank. you could go get one and do it yourself directly but there's no avoiding activation unless you buy one online or there's a promotion. in your case if all of the following are true (or if you just want to know the information related to direct deposit); REQUEST A CHECK TO BE MAILED TO YOU FROM PAYPAL to & from YOU for any amount (cents even). There will be a fee for this ($1 i think), and wait the alotted time to receive the check and when it comes, voila! The routing and account numbers are on the check. If you can still log in with each card seperately request one from each of your cards & then contact paypal to learn about closing one so there's no confusion or about options to merge though i dont know anything about that.
