@LeicesterChris if it doesn't show the dollar amount above the QR code you downloaded then you didn't do it right.  If it does show it then it will populate your PayPal account and dollar amount when someone with another PayPal account scans it.  They just have to specify how they want to fund it and click to pay. ... Are you using iOS or Android?  Are you in the U.S. or what country?   Are you sure you are using the standard PayPal app (white logo on blue background) and not the business one (blue logo on white background)?  If so, when you log in you click the tiny QR code icon in the top right corner of the home page, then click Get Paid.  There you should see a large QR code with three icons beneath it:  a pencil (edit), download and "i" for info.  The pencil/edit icon is the one you tap then check Add An Amount. ... Yes, that's just what my response right above yours from a year ago says.  It is illogical that the website, which people often use on a larger computer screen, would not have the basic functionality that the app has.   You also cannot have automatic receipts sent when you use Virtual Terminal to take a credit or debit card payment over the phone unless you are using the monthly paid version of the Virtual Terminal service, although it mentions that nowhere and it even asks you to enter the payer's email address (they still won't be sent a receipt). ... Yes, the only option to use it point-of-sale would be to have them scan it with their phone off your phone or computer unfortunately.  We take all our payments online and not in person, so we can just email them the code for them to capture on their phone from their computer screen.  Keep in mind the fee is less when they use your QR code.   Also, virtual terminal is free without a machine or monthly payment, but the cost is slightly higher at 3.09% + 49¢.  If you are taking payments in person that may not work either for you.   ...
