My parents run a charity that supports an orphanage in Romania. Recently, Paypal put a limitation on their account and requested more information, which we complied with. We sent all of the information PayPal requested, and then were told that it would be sorted out with 24-48 hours. That was 3 weeks ago. We've called the Call Center 4 times since then and tried to escalate the issue as much as possible, but nobody will give us any information. They will not tell us: How long until the account will be fixed Why the account is locked (although I think it's because my wife and I sent the charity a large donation from overseas) Who we can talk to to fix it We are unable to access intended to help orphans until this is fixed -- and we really need it now. Lives are being ruined because of this. Does anyone have any experience with this? Are we just going to be waiting a few more days, or are we going to be waiting for months -- or even years?
