I have tried unsuccessfully through PayPal and EBay to contact [removed due to privacy concerns] about the HP MU06 battery I purchased. The battery failed less than 6 months after I received it and according to the seller's post (still ongoing) on EBay the battery is guaranteed for one (1) year. I did a Google search of the address on the mailing label and it leads to a data company that claims to have no ties with the seller. Also found many other complaints with this seller for the same type of issues.
I tried to settle this using EBay customer service (joke) and was told to file a dispute, however, the rules of the dispute page will not let me proceed. I went back to EBay and was told to contact HP about the warranty and I said, "why would HP cover a battery that was not sold by their company and may not even be an OEM product despite the seller's claim?" No response from EBay person and no help in contacting the seller to resolve the issue.
All of my negative reviews for this seller has been expunged by EBay personnel. I post my review and a day later it is gone.
All I want is to have the seller honor the warranty or refund my purchase price, but that is difficult to do when NO ONE at Ebay will offer support to the buyer despite the Buyer Protection Plan so boldly stated on the web site.
Does anyone know of this seller? Does anyone have an information on a back door into PayPal or Ebay where a buyer can actually find a live person who truly wishes to help one resolve issues with a seller?
With all the clamor for more transparancy in business and government it appears these two organizations have slipped under the radar or simply don't care about John Q Public who, ironically, keeps them in business and funds their paychecks.
