Hi guys, So basically I saw a mabook pro on ebay with a too good to be true price. Anyway, I contacted the seller by text ast there number was in the listing. Within an hour I had agreed to send a payment via paypal to the seller. I made clear what the payment was for in the payment I sent. All other arrangements and etails were made via text. The computer was to be posted the next day via Royal Mail 24 hour Special Delivery. I was supposed to be recieving a text with a tracking number. Instead I recieved a text saying they had a better offer and wouldn't be sending it to me. The thing is I can't get a clear answer on when I will recieve my refund. I eventually work out this person blocks my phone number. I tried ringing on a few work colleagues phone and same result. I googled the paypal email address I sent to and worked out it didn't belong to the person who arranged the payment. With a bit of google detecstive work and searching on facebook I believe I have worked out that this is a 20 year old kid trying to scam me using his father's paypal account without his dad's permission. I know and have texts to demonstrate this person will not be senidng me the macbook (that I doubt they have to send anyway). They have however send me plenty of contradictary, threatening text messages, and have informed me clearly that as I am a 'utter nob" they wont refund me and I can make a papal claim and wait for my money. While I am aware that I will ultimately get my money back I cannot begin to accept this person can get away with this. To literally intentially take money for something they had no intention of sending, send threatening texts, and refuse to issue the money back. So my question is. What can I do about this. Can I realstically do anything to get my money back? Can I do anything amed with the evidience I have to get this person into legal trouble for their actions? I am primarily concerned about resolving my problem, but I also want to do my bit to get justice here and stop this person from trying this on with anyone else. Any advice will be much appreciated.
