Oh for heaven's sake, is this your last word? Please let it be, because you are becoming a tiresome wretch with little benefit other than to snipe continually rather than offer something constructive. I might venture to offer you a white flag but you would most probably spurn that too with some kind of petulant retort via editorial convenience. Enough already! Life is far too short as it is without the need for your muttering on. ... View more

Advising me of the correct number does not imply I was asking which of the two supplied were correct as I had already stated I had tried both. What I am asking for are alternatives, perhaps you do not comprehend the difference. Seriously, if I trouble you so much perhaps do us both a favour and desist from responding. Other people might think we're married! ... View more

Thank you ShiraYuki but again, I have tried the two numbers given. I do not have a landline number and cannot call either number from a mobile here in Australia.  ShiraYuki, for the purpose of my post I want to be able to contact ANY PayPal office that SHOULD be able to deal with a complaint regarding an item bought here in Australia from an Australian company. Regardless of banking rules and regulations globally, PayPal should be bable to access my account here in Australia without fuss. They just claim not to have the facility to do so. I'll wager if there wasd a discrepancy on my account regarding over payment they would very quickly access my account from anywhere in the world and demand monies back immediately.   But again, all this is besides the point. PayPal is a global company and should not revert customers back to the original account for items purchased from the country they now reside. It is a simple process and needs only someone to take the time to look at the purchase in particular and then deal with the complaint. If I purchased some shoes from a store in Manila whilst living in Manila I would not be asked to return to the UK to take matters up with the Manili subsiduary in the UK and neither should I be expected to contact Ford Motor Company in the US if my car here in Australia breaks down. In ANY circumstance, PAYPAL should offer customers facilities to enable contact anywhere in the world and by any means where telephony is concerned but if you notice - THEY DON'T! Like Ebay, they make things as difficult as possible because they don't want to deal with people complaining.   Regards - Anton ... View more

How dare you?   You accuse me of not reading your response and yet where, WHERE did I say anywhere, in ANY post, I was asking which number was correct? NOWHERE! That's where! You cannot even be bothered to read my posts properly and yet tender advice on behalf of PayPal? Well seeing as you have made it abundantly clear you are employed in some capacity as an advisor to PayPal perhaps you would do your customers the courtesy of reading their requests properly! Or maybe, just maybe, keep a civil tongue!   I NEVER ASKED wqhich was the correct number as I had already stated, QUITE CLEARLY, in my original post and all subsequent posts that I had tried these numbers. I do not use Twitter or Facebook for reasons of which I don't have to explain and I also stated, AGAIN QUITE CLEARLY, that I had also messaged PayPal of my complaints.   KERNOWLASS - READ YOUR OWN POSTS FIRST BEFORE BERATING ME FOR THE SAME! ... Kernowlass, my complaint is a general one and not directed personally. I would have hoped you hadn't taken it personally but... If you are employed by PayPal to act as an arbiter of all complaints then I'm sorry but you take the rough with the smooth. Can you imagine my fury at being told by a representative (not you) that I had to refer all matters via my UK account despite not living there and despite being given incorrect numbers that do not work outside of the UK? Because if you can then you will understand my extreme frustration at the ineptness of it all. Fault product purchased from an Australian company whilst in Australia and I have to go through hoops to find a resolution. COMPROMISED! And if you are not a PayPal employee you might understand the basis of my original post was to say 'BOTH NUMBERS GIVEN WERE NOT ACCESSIBLE FROM AUSTRALIA!' If that appears insulting and you have nothing else to offer then I thank you for your time but please, don't take offence when I reiterate my original terms and do not add to my fury by giving me chapter and verse regarding PayPal as you will be assumed part of the PayPal team. They need to address their protocol far better and make things more accessible for their customers; it is not your job to apologise on their behalf with excuses, and excuses that do not wash. YES, I'm an angry and ungrateful sod; simply because it's costing me a good deal more than time and money to continue going around in circles with a global company that frankly, doesn't give a bloody hoot about its customers so long as they are raking it in. It's high time they served their customers with better options and an improved circle of contact! ... View more

As per previous message: I have tried both numbers. Free phone telephone numbers (as per the 0800 number) are not accessible outside the UK therefore adding the international dialing code is a futile gesture. My UK account is compromised by living in another country as I cannot access it from Australia and neither can I contact the UK from Australia using that account. All of this is irrelevant, frankly, as the purchase of said item Of issue in the first place was completed through an Australian company whilst living IN Australia via my original UK account therefore I believe accessing my UK account to deal with the Australian buyer or to evidence the purchase of said item using my UK account is a moot point. It is high time PayPal offered its customers a better, and more useful means of contact and additionally, dealt with claims on a country by country basis rather than referring ALL complaints and concerns over faulty goods back to the originator account. ... Accessing PayPal UK From Abroad

I have tried using both numbers given (0800 3587911 and 00353 143 69004) from my current lcoation in Australia to no avail. I do not have a fixed landline number (only mobile) and both numbers appear to be inaccessible from a mobile. Can someone please advise of the correct number to use? I have sent a message which has, as yet, not been replied to. In addition to the above, why do PayPal operate a country by country account system when they are a global organisation? I have to contact the UK every time I make a complaint or have an issue with something. i cannot change my address to represent my new country of residence but am forced to either use the UK account or close my UK account and open a new one in Australia - neither of which I want to do because both would penalise me in some form or other: No continued credit history with regard to Australian account and/or loss of credit history from UK account, withewr way both customers and PayPal would see no previous good history on my account - VERY UNFAIR! Surely in this modern era of technology there is good cause to allow customers to access their respective accounts from anywhere in the world or is there some nefarious reason for PayPal to exist in this format which penalises customers? Either way, **bleep** inconvenient to their customers!  ... View more
