I wouldn't trust it.  I would make sure the money is showing in your Paypal balance first.  If it's not, chances are it's not paid yet.  My buyers send me money, I get an instant notification on my phone or an email stating I just received a payment from so-and-so name (my buyer).   Something that is "marked as paid" can be done so by the buyer on eBay or by the seller.  That doesn't mean it's actually paid yet necessarily, it just means either you or the buyer marked it as paid.   I was scammed a couple years ago in believing something was "paid" but stating my funds were being held until I provided a tracking number for shipping.  Of course that money never came into my account and Paypal couldn't do anything about it because the emails I received on it were made from someone in Nigeria, not the real Paypal.   Hope this information helps!! ...
