__________________________________UPDATE_________________UPDATE______________UPDATE_________________ For anyoen else who has run in to this issue, I can confirm that after speaking a combined 11 hours on the phone with ebay and paypal, the issue was found. There are actualy two issues going on the same time. Issue 1) It appears that there is a bug in eBay's "Unpaid Item case Assistant". I strongly urge part time sellers such as myself to temporarily disable this option for now. After my buyer submitted his payment, the UIC assistant should have closed the case automatically but eBay confirmed this to me today that the case is still open somehow and they are trying to find the bug. Issue 2) As of May 17th, 2016, Paypal is having issues similar to my case noted above. A buyer will submit payment on eBay and get confirmation but the seller on the receiving end will not get their money. Paypal will not be able to see the item # or the transaction ID for the case. If you are having this issue, do not give up and ask them to look in to the buyers account as well. It is a 2 way thing. If you can get your buyer on the line (I was lucky) and both of you should check with paypal at the same time so that they can see the issue. I was told thaty Paypal is now awear of the matter and is working on it. The reaosn I was told that there was server maintence being concluded when this all occured. As of now, my transaction is still open with the buyer having paid, me not receiving the money and not being able to ship the item since paypal will not cover me. I believe this is the same nightmare many people faced last year on this forum: Known Issue: Payments not appearing on sender or receiver's account ________________________________________________________________________________________________ ORIGINAL POST: Buyer won an auction, did not pay for a few days until an unpaid claim case was opened against them, on the last day I received an email from eBay only that the unpaid claim case has closed, buyer has paid and I should ship the item. I did NOT receive an email confirmation from Paypal. I contacted them and they said that there is no record of this transaction. I called eBay and they said that they have a valid transaction ID that the buyer has paid using Paypal. I did a 3 way call with eBay and Paypal. They were both going back n forth and they confirmed the same things. We could not reach an agreement. I have not changed my email address or username. I have been a part time seller on eBay for 10 years and using paypal for 11 years. I know that some people had a similar issue but that was due to an incorrect email address registered. Right now, the unpaid status claim has closed, I have not received the money, I can not ship the item because I have not received the funds, neither me nor the buyer can cancel the transaction becuase it says that "the case is still open and it can not be cancelled" and I cant even refund the buyer if the case is cancelled. It has been well over 72 hrs since the buyer has paid and nothing has changed. eBay has asked me to wait untill an upper level management can look in to it. Paypal has been pretty useless. Any advice or help from anyone with a similar issue in the past?
