Well it appears that between PayPal and eBay, their core interest is not looking after the seller's who already pay extortionate fees, their customer service STINKS, they make a fortune out of people who are the ones subsidising the whole outfit, if you’re lucky enough to get through to a support team member on eBay who has a sensible command of any language it’s a miracle let alone one who understands the language your attempting to speak with them in, and when you do get through to anyone they insult you with pre typed answers to your questions always containing REST ASSURED as the BS line they choose to use to somehow convince you that they know what they are doing WHICH THEY DON’T, as for PayPal the customer service staff are amongst the rudest ignorant bunch of B's I have ever had the unfortunate experience of communicating with, if you don’t raise your voice over their dictating attitude you will never be herd and when you do you will find that your always the one at fault, so basically your **bleep**. As for withholding funds in my experience as an eBay seller and buyer of over 11 years with total positive feedback and a list as long as the complaints about eBay and PayPal - that are returning customers and yet out of the blue everything needs verifying, but even though it passes all verification checks they still decide that you’re a security risk and slap restrictions on you, Which means Can’t Pay or Buy Can’t Withdraw your Money Can’t remove your Cards or accounts BUT you can somehow pay any eBay fees And you can still sell and receive payments ** FUNNY THAT! ** Surely if a member is a security risk of any sorts, the last thing that should be allowed is for them to continue to trade and take money from people!!!! I WAS JUST WONDERING IF THAT BY ALLOWING A PERSON TO TAKE MONEY INTO PAYPAL BUT NOT WITHDRAW THE FUNDS IT MIGHT HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH IT!!! ** FUNNY THAT**** Don’t tell me I think I have worked it out THEY MAKE INTEREST DON’T THEY! - Well Wel !!! Now that is interesting what was that I here you say? But isn’t that Fraudulent behaviour??? Well being a mere Know nothing mortal I couldn’t say! But I have a fairly good idea The bottom line is this They both have the monopoly on the ecommerce market and they know it. My advice, DUMP THEM if you can! But of course most sellers cant and again they know this. For my own solution, with the funds they held from me without justification or answers I used it as a way to get out and seek other outlets, YES they are slower But they are out there I was determined not to let PayPal hold my cash. Around £100. I refunded all the customers who had paid for the goods, if I can’t get my funds then the B's at PayPal were not having them. YES I LOST THAT CASH BUT PayPal didn’t get it; I put it back to the next best thing MY CUSTOMERS and used the refund as a way of thanking my customers for their loyalty by giving them their goods effectively as a gift. The customer service excellent comments way outweighed the loss of the funds. Long term EBay and PayPal will shoot themselves in the backside because there is so much bad press building up about both of them it will eventually bite them back, and with all the other ecommerce sites growing daily, but I suspect it won’t be in the near future BUT IT WILL COME and not to soon from my point of view I’m not under any illusion that my comments will damage either of them, BUT the bad press is growing and I suspect that both eBay and PayPal are far to arrogant to notice HOWEVER DO ANY OF YOU REMEMBER A HIGH STREET SHOP BY THE NAME OF RATNERS https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gerald_Ratner I rest my case
