I have had nothing but problems with PayPal today. I tried to transfer money to a friend, but it kept saying it couldn't be completed and to try later. It never said why, gave me no instruction, and took me nowhere. I then had my friend send a request for money. Again, same thing. It went nowhere. So I read through the site and several help articles online, and discover that my limit was set just under the threshold. Fine. I remove the threshold, verify my information, and try again. Now, I get a message saying there is a hold on my account for suspicious activity. I go to resolution center, I verify who I am, but they also asked to have my CC verified- but i needed to update my CC, and the hold makes it so you can't update you existing card number. Of course it wouldn't let you verify your bank account, which is what I use. Because that would be too simple! I send a customer email, of which I get a generic response about account verification that did absolutely nothing, because this is not a verification issue. I call in and after being on hold a while, finally get it resolved and hold removed. So. No more limit, hold removed, it should work now right? Nah. Of course not. Same error of "cannot be completed at this time" with no information or how to resolve. So I say fine- I'll just transfer the balance I need to send from my account into my PayPal account, wait the 2-3 days to clear, and send it to them directly without having to filter my bank through PayPal. I submit... and the system glitches. I now have TWO pending bank account transfers that will ABSOLUTELY TAP OUT MY ENTIRE FUNDS. I check to see if you can cancel a transfer? No. No you can't. They are set in stone. So thank you PayPal. I am now going to be hit with possible overdraft fees, do not have access to a very large sum of money, and STILL can't transfer funds to my friend. I will be looking for a better service and WILL NOT be recommending anyone use PayPal for transfers and payments. I had been using your service since 2006.
