My problem is that I had two PayPal accounts, one in the UK which I'd had for several years, and a new one which I opened in France when I moved here. However, I can no longer access the UK account - whenever I try, I'm redirected to the French site. The other email came up automatically and kept me on the non-French page, but I didn't realise that was what was happening until someone's post mentioned using a different email account. , ... I think I can say a big THANK YOU from all the frustrated PayPal account holders abroad - if, of course, it works for them! (There are so many different circumstances.) If you could find how to do this, why couldn't  the PayPal moderator suggest it?   I've just managed to open a new PayPal account in France by giving a different email address. Now I'll have to remember that I did!   I'm amazed by the extent of your patience and persistence tackling this issue; the frustration goes all the way back to the early years of the decade, so I hope it helps loads of people.   By the way, since I tried to resolve my own problem via these forum posts, I've seen your name come up endlessly, so I'm really pleased for you. It's all very well saying open  a new account in your new country, but how do I do that when logging on to the Paypal France site  takes me straight to the original site where I first opened my original account? It will not let me go to any specifically French Paypal site. Others seem to have done this (in Australia). Why not France? What do I do? I have a French address and a French bank account.  Maddening. ... View more

I wouldn't mind doing all that if I was allowed to, but I'm not! I might as well not have a Paypal account. Maybe that's the anser - delete my UK Paypal account and open a new one where I live now? Sooo agree!! The suggestion of changing the billing address is all very well (each time you order? Not very convenient, which is what I thought Paypal was all about) but if they can accept the billing address in another country, why can't they accept anything else? We sent a man to the Moon in the 60s. This can't be beyond current technology! And although I've only just started with this process, I can see already how it's driving Paypal customers nuts. Yep, I have that problem too. A credit card registered in the UK with my French address, all legit, but no way to add it to Paypal account. This is so outdated! Aargh!! ... View more
