Hi, I just bought a GBP 640,- article on eBay. €809,- that should be, according to eBay. That's fair, according to current exchange rates. I ended up paying €840,- because of Paypal's exchange rates. Absolutely ridiculous. In this discussion, Paypal state that they check rates twice a day and publish them too. This is completely beside the point: The exchange rates themselves are wrong! I doesn't matter how often you check or publish them... You are simple ripping off your customers. Paypal also suggest to contact your bank, if you are looking for different (fairer) ways to deal with exchange rates. Seriously? Is that even close to your mission statement: "build the Web's most convenient, secure, cost-effective payment solution"? I am going to look for different ways to pay, if it involves foreign currency. A very dissatisfied customer.
