Hello I have been stuck unable to login to my pay pal account for over a year for this reason as well and just spent two hours trying to finally work it out. This has to be the most frustrating service - obscure security questions and dead ends where only an account number from 6 years ago will do. I went back to a UK tax return from 2010 to find out what it was and then had ot play around with formats, google barclays account number formats and read through blog upon blog. Then I realised I need an Australian account to accept Oz cards and addresses. More time spent/wasted. Finally, I am not sure where to record this, but I receive spam emails from 'Pay Pal' almost every day, telling me my account is going to be closed down. Is the actual pay pal company aware of this, and can anything be done to stop it? It's been almost daily for the last several years. Maddening. Regards, Basia
