For the past two months all of my transactions on paypal and other retail sites have required a debit/credit card. Before that I was usually given the option to use my bank account during checkout. Now, If I attempt to remove my linked debit card and leave only my verified bank account, I am prompted to add a card. Every. Time. Even though my bank account has more than enough funds to cover transactions and is set as my preffered payment method, why am I still forced to use my debit card every time? If I am stuck using my debit card, there's no reason for me to even have a verified bank account, or even continue dealing with paypal altogether. Has/Is anyone else experienced this? How were you able to fix it?
