Somehow hearing that a buyer filing a claim against a seller will lose the case seems foreign to me as it seems like buyers always prevail. I hope you're right. Thanks for the the reply. ... View more

USPS Priority Mail Package marked as delivered but...

I sold item for $70 shipped. I shipped via USPS Priority Mail, no extra insurance added so I just have coverage up to $50 (I purchased item for more than that, selling it at a loss). Tracking shows package was delivered but buyer claims package was not found. It's been a couple week already so it's not likely to turn up. The item is out of stock now so I won't be abel to locate another one to send to the buyer.   We've both filed claims with USPS. What usually happens in such a case and how long will it take USPS to refund me? Given it's a government entity, I'm thinking it'll take months for them to pay this claim assuming they don't deny it? Will USPS refund me shipping postage as well so I'd get back $50 + postage?   Given I met PayPal's Seller Protection requirements as it was shipped via a trackable method to the confirmed address, do I need to involve PayPal at all? Would PayPal reimburse me the full amount the buyer paid? ... View more

'Create Shipping Label Beta' error: "We’re unable ...

I've been printing USPS shipment labels from PayPal for years, never had an issue before. However these last few months, a few times I get the error "We’re unable to process your request. Please try later." at the calculate shipping price part. It happens less than 5% of the time but it's still annoying. I tried a different computer and browser (Chrome/Firefox), same error so it's server side. When it has happened and I needed a label ASAP, I went direct to USPS site to ship and was able to print the label so it's not USPS that is down. For PayPal, if I tried again a few hours later it usually works again.   On the Create Shipping Label Beta page, there's a link to: "Try this new shipping label experience or switch to the classic shipping label experience." Since the beta page was producing the error, I tried the classic shipping label link however the link does not work correctly as the page that opens up says: Sorry — your last action could not be completed.   It definitely looks like PayPal is running beta quality software as it's not as reliable as the old version and there's no way to rever to the old method since the link doesn't work. Hopefully someone from PayPal reads this and can report the error so it gets fixed.         ... View more
