Definitely a disadvantage for sellers who can't afford to let Paypal hold their money for weeks after the transaction. This negates the advantage of the 1% back on debit card usage, effectively gives Paypal use of your money (otherwise known as a loan) without interest. At least with my merchant processor I know when I will get my money, and have someone to complain to if it's delayed. Makes me hesitant to plan on using Paypal for future sales on eBay, and definitely not for sales from my websites. Google Checkout doesn't give me a hard time like this.
