I'm sure there was more action lawsuits in the past but this is one of the more recent ones. Upon reading this settlement, the part I find humorous is, "PayPal denies any wrongdoing but agreed to settle the account hold class action lawsuit to avoid the expense and uncertainty of trial. "   In other words, there guilty.  I would love for them to lose hundreds of millions of dollars, if not billions and have the FBI raid there headquarters and shut them down. Sorry to current members but they are so crooked. If they acted like a bank, they would adhere to bank regulations. Since they aren't, PP would do anything to avoid being dragged into court. Actually, Amazon does hold onto money for 14 days. I been a basic (non-FBA) member for several months and every sale I make, they hold onto it for 14 days. Hopefully, after the year mark they reduce it to 7 days or nothing. ... View more

The one thing I like about selling on Amazon is less competiton in some categories. But that is to compensate for the rather expensive FVF they charge. For example: video games is 15%, compared to ebays 9%. Also, money does not go into your bank account instant. Amazon holds it for 14 days. The alternative to PayPal is a Merchant Account. I been using "E-onlinedata" since mid-Nov 2015 and I like it. Theres no contract. They charge transaction fee: Domestic/Int'l fee 2.9% + $0.30. Whereas PP Domestic is 2.9% + $0.30 & Int'l is 3.9% + $0.30. There CS acts much more professional than PP ever did.   I agree. The supervisor I spoke to back in Nov was rude, unprofessional and a complete **bleep**. He didn't care if I was a member for 10 years or made his company thousands of dollars per year. They treated me like another #.   Since ebay and PP split last year, ebay has been looking to add new alternative payment systems. The agent I spoke to back in Nov said, there looking to add: Square, Braintree, Apply/Android Pay, Bitcoin and there very own design that will be similar to PP (hopefully not rude cs). ... View more
