I understand that paypal may not allow accepting credit card from some locations. However, when they allow accepting credit card to other (existing) sellers and not new sellers then it's a disrimination and violation of consumer protection act. Btw, someone from paypal reached out to me when I posted the same problem on their face book page. This time CS state that new and old sellers are same; they do not allow credit cards from some locations. If this is true then there is nothing wrong with their policy but I still have the issue. This could be very specific to my account. So, I gave them my account and button code. Following is the buttong code. You can try yourself from your location:   1. Button: <form action="www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr" method="post" target="_top"> <input type="hidden" name="cmd" value="_s-xclick"> <input type="hidden" name="hosted_button_id" value="LMK7E7AUW8D2Q"> <input type="image" src="www.paypalobjects.com/en_US/i/btn/btn_buynowCC_LG.gif" border="0" name="submit" alt="PayPal - The safer, easier way to pay online!"> <img alt="" border="0" src="www.paypalobjects.com/en_US/i/scr/pixel.gif" width="1" height="1"> </form>     ... They told me that for new accounts in UAE paypal is encouraging to use paypal instead of credit card for and for that reason credit card option is not showing up for UAE sellers. The same CS person mentioned that credit card works for old UAE sellers. Another customer service rep another time told me that she does not know why it should not work and would call me after talking to supervisor but never called back. Edither way, this is discrimination. If paypal does not allow Credit card for new UAE sellers the same needs ot be disabled for old UAE sellers too and if it does alow old one to accept credit card then it must allow new ones to accept credit cards too. This can easily be challenged in court as it's ciscrimination. ... View more

Hi,   I just signed up as business in UAE. Before sign up and even during setup its shows that I can receive payment through paypal and credit and Debit cards. But when I generated button and put it on m site, user can only pay through paypal account. There is no option to pay through credit card without creating paypal account.   I called customer service and they told me that for new UAE accounts they only allow payment through paypal account, not credit card and not debit card. I find this really deceiving. 1) They advertise they accept credit cards, 2) they let me generate button that shows visa, mastercard, amex logo, 3) business setup screen in paypal says that account is setup to receive credit card.   Does anyone know how to solve this issue?   Thank you in advance.       ...
