During the wretched day of yesterday, I made the obviously out-of-line attempt to withdraw funds to my card (a small amount). To which the PayPal tells me that I haven't log from this computer before. I'm not sure if that was true - it's my home computer and I use it rarely, nothing suspicious there. So it asked me to identify myself through my phone number, and then gave me the classical reply already littering the entire internet ""This number doesn't appear to be registered in your name". This is possibly because PP never asked me to validate my phone. Actually you need to search google for the link to the page where you can validate the number. I tried from my phone, which I have definitely used before, and it said the same thing, that I didn't use it to log in to PayPal. I waited for a night and this morning I tried again. It didn't work for the whole amount, but for 2 amounts smaller than 100 USD, althought my card had the limit lifted well before and had seen a previous transaction. Of course PP charged me for both transactions. I tried to validate my phone number and got the message "Sorry - your last action could not be completed". Of course! Does anyone know why are these things happening and what can I do to make sure PayPal stops behaving unreliably? At this point it's just acting as if it's trying to separate me from my hard earned money and is attempting to charge extra just because they can.
