How do I know if an email I received from paypal about my account access being limited is legitimate? This message won't let me write out the email address the message was sent from, but it looked legitimate. The message reads: "Whу iѕ my aссоunt ассеѕs lіmіtеd? Wе detесted ѕοmethіng unuѕual аbоut а rесеnt sign-in tο yοuг aссоunt. Аѕ а pгесаutіоn, wе havе lіmitеd аcсеѕѕ tо уоuг РаyΡаl аcсоunt іn огder tо prοtесt agаinѕt unauthοгisеd tгаnsaсtіonѕ. The reason I am suspicious is that when I clicked on the link to confirm my identity, the website link looked really dodgy. It was something like 6737.payoupal.co.uk , even though the layout of the page to fill in details looked normal. Now when I click on the link, it doesn't open up a website at all but just goes to google search for 'paypal.co.uk' The reason I am concerned is the email itself looked really legitimate, had no spelling mistakes (even though I've noticed now all the 'r's in the copied text are appearing weird) and even had a green tick on my hotmail that looked like it was saying its secure. Usually my email is really vigilant at weeding out scams and spam. Any help from community or paypal team would be greatly appreciated.
