I opened a paypal account a good few years ago , never had any problems with it but when i log in now its saying they need i.d the problem is when i opened it the surname i used was the one everyone knows me by which is my step fathers last name , my mum never had it done legally its just the name me & my brothers were known by so i have no i.d in this surname , im unsure what to do as i dont want my account closing doen , i do have my bank account linked which is in my birth name , would they allow me to change my surname & send my passport for i.d ... I have had my PayPal account for a while with no problems to my account , every time I sell something there holding funds , I can understand I haven't used it for a while so would hold the 1st couple of payments but I'm on for my approx 7th sale & there still holding , I have asked this question before but got no help , I have also emailed PayPal 3 times with no response , could someone please explain its so annoying  ...
