Hi all,
A company I have been buying from for the past 2 years just closed my account BECAUSE I filed a PayPal dispute.
I received the automatic email in which they state they have closed my accounts and restricted access to my products (+/- $500 worth of products) because of the filed dispute.
They are forcing me to drop the dispute and follow ''their procedure'' instead. They won't reply to my support inquiries unless I do so.
I was angered when I received that message. I have been a customer for 2 years and never filed a dispute before. In fact, it is my first PayPal dispute ever. They immediately closed my account, and their support replied to my message in a very nasty way (''you will get your refund if you behave like a normal human being'').
The company in question is <removed>
My question is:
Are companies who use PayPal to accept payments allowed to do this?
<removed>is basically forcing every single one of its customers to never, ever open a PayPal dispute against them, which makes PayPal's buyers protection obsolote / irrelevant. <removed> is discouraging buyers from using PayPal by refusing them to use PayPal's functionality.
What happens if I drop the dispute and <removed> refuses to re-open my account or refund me? I won't be able to re-open the dispute again, right?
This all just seems very unfair. <removed> is treating me like trash, insulted me, and is currently refusing me access to 2 years worth of purchases simply because I filed a PayPal dispute (product wasn't fully functional).
Please help.
