On a desktop device such as a PC or laptop you are given the option of entering a voucher code as part of the checkout. And whilst it is not particularly use friendly and can be easily missed it is at least there. When you do the same on a mobile or tablet device you are served with a completely different checkout. This is a much more simplified offering which omits much of the information given on the desktop version incuding the ability to redeem a voucher code. Initially I thought this to be a bug or a setting that needed to be changed in the paypal account, but when I rasied this with PayPal's technical support I received this message "After researching this issue further i can confirm that the Gift certificate flow is not supported on mobile devices . You can only redeem the voucher from the full page desktop checkout." But no reason why. So why can't you? and is there any documentation from Paypal that says this service is only available for customers purchasing on desktops?
