Thanks Kernowlass. This is the bit in the terms that's worrying me: "Buyer Protection covers all your online purchases, on eBay or on any other website, when you use PayPal." I'm not using a website though - I'm conducting this transaction individual-to-individual, as it's a Gumtree ad. Also, I'm not collecting the item as you mentioned, I'm expecting it to be sent to me. So if I select the "pay for goods and services" option, and it doesnt arrive, you're saying I'm covered to get a refund, right? What if it arrives, and it's not in the same condition I was told it was? Who ultimately makes the decision in these disputed cases? Surely it's a case of buyer's word against the seller's word?
